Aug. 2004 -If hunting down reds shallow water bays or along those long open flats is your idea of fun, then new lure is for you.  It is called the "Hit Man" by Jack Flash Lures.

This lure is not what you would call a new concept but I would say it is an improved one.  The "Hit Man" is an inline spinner bait designed for salt water that pulls in front of your favorite plastic. This is a very easy lure to fish even for the novice fisherman. Using it is as easy as throwing it out and reeling it back in, only concerning yourself with the speed of the retrieve.  It can be slow rolled to keep the bait down to get to those deeper fish or rolled fast to buzz the bait by the surface.  In my time spent reviewing this bait, I tried it in every condition I could come up with in Galveston bay. The most productive areas I found for it was over oyster reef and near or over grass lines.  There has been good success on it in the beach fronts of Galveston and Matagorda. Good numbers of trout have come on the silver spinner while reds seem to favor the gold ones.  The "Hit Man" is designed for salt water in mined, it has all stainless construction from the wire to the ball bearings.  There are several weights and sized spinner blades available to choose from.  It can hold up to even the hardest of redfish hits.
